Hey guyssss!! Happy 2026 and welcome back to another day of Haute Take!!

Who here has binged Friends a million times?? If you haven’t...what are you doing?? But for us normal people, you KNOW Rachel Green is basically the ultimate style icon, or at least my style icon. Not only are her outfits everything, but she also has pretty much my dream life of working in fashion in New York, so obviously we’re going to take a look at her style!! Today, we’re doing a full deep dive into her most iconic looks, and I will also be showing you how to steal a little bit of inspo from her for your own closet. Let’s get into it!!

Why Rachel Green Is Forever My Style Idol

The evolution of Rachel Green’s style throughout the 10 seasons of Friends wasn’t just a bunch of cute outfits, it helped to tell her story and show her development as a character. From her Central Perk waitress era to her high-powered fashion career, her wardrobe grew up with her. She started with playful plaid minis and simple tees, then slowly moved into sharp silhouettes and chic corporate outfits that exuded confidence. She’s the definition of that perfect mix between casual and elevated, like a girl who could grab coffee in a turtleneck and trousers but also slay a Ralph Lauren meeting in heels and a fitted blazer.

What’s so iconic about Rachel is how she made every outfit feel effortless. Even when she was dressed up, there was a relaxed edge that kept her relatable. Her looks were a mix of structured and soft, neutral and bold, simple and statement, all blended into one aesthetic that still influences fashion today. She was doing “quiet luxury” before it even had a name.

The Signature Staples (and How You Can Use Them)

After scrolling through Rachel’s looks throughout the show (my favs are on my Pinterest board below btw), you can see some key pieces that define her entire style, and they’re all very much wearable today.

a) Slip Dresses

Rachel practically invented slip-dress layering. Whether it was over a baby tee or under a cardigan, she made this combo look dreamy and effortless. Steal her look: grab a simple slip, throw on a soft cropped sweater and add some sandals or sneakers depending on your mood.

b) Plaid Minis

No one did preppy like Rachel. Her plaid skirts were always balanced with something easy, like a fitted top and simple jewelry. Steal her look: pair a plaid or checkered mini skirt with a tee or sweater, and add in some loafers. Add a mini bag and you’ve got Rachel walking into Central Perk written all over you.

c) Oversized Blazers & Statement Coats

Rachel understood that outerwear makes an outfit (prob my favorite thing about her wardrobe, you guys know I love my overcoats). From blazers to tailored coats, she always knew how to turn workwear into a fashion statement. Steal her look: get yourself a statement coat. That's all.

d) Classic Workwear: Matching Blazer Sets

Once she entered her fashion career era, Rachel’s wardrobe became pure business chic in the most stylish way. Her matching sets were absolutely stunning and so put together. Steal her look: go buy yourself a nice, good quality blazer set, and pair it with a simple turtle neck or button up and you’re GOLDEN!

My top 3 Rachel Green Looks

Okay now we’re going to get into my top three favorite Rachel Green outfits!! This was actually so so hard to choose because she has so many incredible outfits, but after much contemplation I have narrowed it down to these three AMAZING STUNNING fits.

Starting off with number 3, we have this matching white blazer set paired with a pink knit turtleneck. I absolutely LOVE this outfit. It fits her character so well and also suits her amazingly. She takes corporate fashion to a whole new level with this outfit. I’m obsessed.

Next, in the number 2 spot, we have this ICONIC green dress that she wore for all of 30 seconds in an episode before she got mad at Ross and changed. I adore this dress. It fits her so perfectly, and the color suits her palette SO WELL. The quality of the material also looks so chic and gives off such luxury but in a quiet way.

Finally, in number 1, we have this absolutely adorable number. The matching green tank and sweater is EXACTLY the kind of monochromatic look I love. The tights add such a cute fall vibe, and can we talk about the HEELS? Perfection. I am so obsessed. AND it’s something that you can easily recreate on your own!! Love it.

Final Thoughts

Rachel’s fashion legacy lives on because her style is so attainable. She’s playful, confident, and never afraid to try something new, but everything she wore still felt real and wearable. She taught us that fashion isn’t about copying trends, but creating a look that reflects who you are at every stage of your life.

So that’s all I have for today!! I can’t wait to see your Rachel-inspired fits!! Until next time :)

xoxo,
