Hi everyoneeee!! Happy May and welcome back to Haute Take!!

Once again, apologies for the lack of posts recently, we all know the stress of finals and jumping back into work at the beginning of summer, but we’re back!! And today we are talking about one of my favorite things...take a wild guess...

The color PINK !!! 🌸🩷

That’s right! Today we’re going to run through my top 10 PINK red carpet looks of all time!! And boy did I enjoy researching for this blog! While I am very picky when it comes to pink red carpet looks, it was so fun to see how different celebrities play with the tone, brightness, and uniqueness of the color pink in so many diverse ways. So without further ado, let’s get into it!!!

Number 10: Sarah Jessica Parker at the 2000 Emmy Awards

First of all, can we all just take a second to acknowledge how gorgeous Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker looks in the color pink?? The tan, the blonde, everything is simply perfection. Now to get into the look, this is an absolutely stunning custom Oscar de la Renta pale pink, mid-length dress with a flared skirt covered in feathers. I absolutely adore (almost) everything about this look, from the color of pink to the bodice and shape of the dress to the accessories. The only two critiques I have? The floral arm band, which I think is just entirely unnecessary and honestly takes away from the look itself, and the length of the dress, which I wish had been a floor length gown rather than a midi. However, other than that, this look is perfection!

Number 9: Ariana Grande at the Los Angeles Wicked Premiere

Throughout the press tour of the Blockbuster film, “Wicked”, actress Ariana Grande, who happens to be one of my favorite celebrities literally ever, tapped into her character Glinda’s signature color, which was, of course, PINK! One look in particular that stood out to me was this custom pink and white gingham dress by Thom Browne. It is strapless with a ball gown silhouette, which she paired with a matching bolero jacket, gloves (I loooveee when women add gloves to their red carpet outfits) and a beautiful bow. This dress genuinely might be the cutest thing I have seen worn by her on the carpet. She looks adorable, and despite what some may say I think the color pink matches her palette perfectly. I love the mix of pink and white, the high-low cut of the dress, the silhouette, everything! One thing I would change though is unfortunately the shoes... I just don't think silver was the right move for this outfit!! I'm thinking more like a cream or white?? But honestly, other than that...no notes; stylist Mimi Cutrell ate this up!

Number 8: Jennifer Lawrence at the 2013 Oscars

One of my all time favorite actresses in Hollywood today is the one and only, Jennifer Lawrence. Her comedic timing and confidence hits every single time, and I can only aspire to have half of the wit and humor that she has. With that being said, she also knows how to dress! From her iconic Calvin Klein red dress to this strapless, pale pink (I think we’re seeing a pattern here), custom Dior (duh) Haute Couture gown she wore to the 2013 Oscars, she (or I guess, her stylist) never fails to impress with her style. I adore everything about this look. One thing about me is I love a good strapless moment, a dramatic skirt, and obviously the color pink, and this look has it all. Love it!

Number 7: Kelsea Ballerini at the 57th Annual CMA Awards

Country singer Kelsea Ballerini always steps out when it comes to red carpets. She has made it onto several of my “Top Looks” posts for her always classy and polished red carpet appearances, and this pink Christian Siriano dress is no exception! I love the satin and one shoulder look, I think it is so chic (similar to strapless). The color is on the brighter side of the others in my list, which I typically don’t lean towards, but I think Kelsea pulls it off so well and matched the pink color perfectly with her hair and skin tone. Now, the main thing that I am obsessing over about the look are those SHOES! Everyone by now probably knows my obsession with shoes, so it’s no surprise that these pale pink heels with flower details on the toe strap AND an adorable bow on the back immediately caught my attention. Where can I purchase?? (although I don’t quite know where I would wear them lol) My one critique I would say is that the fabric of the dress itself looks slightly cheap, but overall this look is stunning!

Number 6: Ariana Grande at the 2025 Oscars

So once again, we have another one of my girl, Miss Ariana Grande’s Glinda inspired looks (shocker). This one is this custom Schiaparelli haute couture gown that she wore to the Oscars this past March, and I could talk about this looks for HOURS. Now I have mentioned this look before in my top 5 looks from the Oscars, and it was my number one look of the night. I. Love. This. Dress. From the pale pink color, to the neckline, to the tulle skirt absolutely covered in crystals, Ariana knew what she was doing here. I won’t go on too long about this look, as I have already shared my thoughts in another post, but let me just say. Obsessed. I was obsessed when I saw it in March and STILL obsessed today, which is why it has earned itself a spot on this list. Gorgeous.

Number 5: Rita Ora at the 2024 Emmys

OMG! We have made it to the TOP 5 PINK RED CARPET LOOKS OF ALL TIME! Brace yourselves. In 5th we have this strapless satin gown with a sweetheart neckline and a flowing skirt by Tamara Ralph worn by Rita Ora to the 2024 Emmys. To give a little background, this dress got some controversy because it is dangerously similar to another woman’s dress worn that same night by the same designer, a dress which also happens to be my number two look in today's post. You may be wondering, “uh Leah, how is a dress that looks almost exactly the same as the number 2 look at number 5”, and don’t you worry I will get into that later. For now, can we just talk about how amazing this dress is?!  First of all, this COLOR. I know I know, they are all pink, but this specific tone of pink is absolutely perfection. I love the combination of the two different shades between the dress and the shawl. And speaking of the shawl, these FEATHERS?? Gorgeous. Feathers are sometimes disliked in fashion, but I think when done the right way, they bring the perfect amount of DRAMA and extravagance to any look while still keeping it from being too flashy or cheap looking. She pulled this look off perfectly! No notes.

Number 4: Ariana Grande at the Mexico “Wicked” Premiere

Alright guys, we’re now getting into the really GOOD ONES!!! And of course, the queen of pink herself takes the number 4 spot in this ranking (shocker again), with this custom Versace pink iridescent gown, with a plunging neckline, structured bodice, and a ruffled full skirt. This look is absolutely stunning and ethereal. It’s also so so unique, and I have never seen a celebrity wear a dress anything like this. This look was inspired by her character Glinda’s iconic bubble dress from Wicked, and the inspiration is so perfectly executed in this look. I think this dress looks so good on her and literally was made for her to wear (because it actually was lol but you get the point), the color, the neckline, the hair, EVERYTHING about this is just so Glinda, and also just so Ariana too. Gorgeous!!

Number 3: Gwyneth Paltrow at the 1999 Oscars

This next look was so so hard to place in this ranking, because if it is ranking by dresses I would wear, this just might have been my number 1. However, I think the next two looks surpass it juuuust a little bit. So anyway, in third place we have Gwyneth Paltrow's iconic bubblegum pink dress at the 1999 Oscars, designed by the one and only, Ralph Lauren. Guys. Can we just take a second to acknowledge how PERFECT. This look is. After doing some additional research, I found that this dress was widely copied after the event, and Gwyneth was credited for bringing pink back into fashion (“thank you Gwyneth” we all say in unison). First of all, the neckline is gorgeous, and the thin straps make the dress look just that much more delicate and girly. I love the fit and flare look, which is my personal favorite style of dress...I will be wearing to my wedding hehe. Thank you. Now the thing that takes this look to perfection is the sheer shawl she is wearing. One thing about me is I LOVE LOVE when people wear this delicate addition in their look, it just makes them look...how do I explain... rich lol. ANYWHO. I’m obsessed. Spectacular give me 14 of ‘em.

Number 2: Eiza Gonzalez at the 2024 Emmys

Up next, in our number 2 spot, we have Eiza Gonzalez at the 2024 Emmys in this baby pink, Tamara Ralph gown with a plunging neckline and elegant feather shawl. She and Rita Ora both chose incredibly similar styles from Tamara Ralph's fall/winter 2024-2025 collection, which resulted in an accidental twinning moment on the carpet.  Although the looks were similar, they were still so different, and those differences set Eiza apart. First of all, the neckline is just stunning and adds such a unique twist to a classic strapless gown, very similar to Ariana Grande’s Mexico premiere outfit we saw earlier. Also, Eiza’s dress is sequin, which adds just an extra sparkle and pizzazz to the look that catches the eye immediately. And finally, Eiza’s cape is full of feathers, leaving no fabric to be seen, whereas Rita Ora’s feels almost unfinished in that way. Overall, I think this look is incredible, and this shade of pink matches her olive skin tone and dark hair perfectly. DAZZLING!

Number 1: Lily James at the 2022 Oscars

Okay guys, we have now officially reached the number 1 pink red carpet look of ALL TIME!!! HEHE. Can we PLEASE for the love of all that is good talk about this sheer, lace, baby pink Versace gown that Lily James wore to the 2022 Oscars???? Because I am obsessed. First of all, the embroidery detailing is absolutely to die for. This shade of pink on her is incredibly stunning, and I cannot picture a celebrity who could have pulled off this look as well as she did. This dress fits her like a glove, and she quite literally looks like some sort of whimsical fairy that belongs in a fantasy movie. I love the fabric and how it is so subtly sheer, but not over the top that leads it to being inappropriate for the Academy Awards. I also love the addition of the overskirt, and I think it adds the right amount of drama and just that extra "umph" that can be easily forgotten in red carpet looks. The delicate ruffles and lace also make this look so incredibly graceful and airy. Overall, I can’t get over this look! It is the kind that turns heads and stays being talked about for years onwards (as it still is 3 years later). Amazing, stunning, unforgettable.

Wow, so there you have it!!! My top 10 PINK red carpet looks of all time. 🌸🩷 I had so so much fun researching for this blog, so let me know if you would like more of these, and also, did y'all agree with my rankings?! I hope you all enjoyed!! Catch you next time :) ✨

Xoxo,

Leah <3
