Hello everyoneee and welcome back to Haute Take!!!
Happy day 4 of Blogmas! Woohoo! So I don’t know about you guys, but I vividly remember getting home from school and tuning into ABC Family’s 25 days of Christmas, ready to watch the Christmas movie of the day. So I thought for today’s blog, I could tap into some of the most beloved movies of all time, and show you your outfit based on your favorite Christmas movies!! So without further ado, let’s get into it!!
For “The Grinch”, the goal is maximum Christmas cheer. This look is super festive and bold, centered around a holiday red dress paired with fuzzy accessories like a fur coat. White heels bring the look together, while a white hair bow or headband adds that extra holiday charm. The overall vibe is loud, joyful, and fully embracing the Christmas spirit.

An “A Christmas Story” inspired outfit leans into classic, preppy Americana. It gives old-school, Ralph Lauren Christmas energy with a plaid skirt, cream sweater, and finished with loafers. It’s timeless and cozy, giving off East Coast prep vibes that feel like Christmas morning nostalgia wrapped into an outfit.

For “It’s a Wonderful Life”, elegance is key. This look is all about neutral white and soft sophistication. It all starts with a white or ivory midi dress layered under a tailored coat. Pearl jewelry adds a timeless feel, while white kitten heels keep the look refined. Old Hollywood holiday elegance at its finest.

“Elf” brings adorable outfit, but make it ~green~. A green knit sweater is the star of the look, paired with a white skirt and sheer tights. Green ballet flats tie it together, while a white scarf and white coat keep it crisp and winter-ready. The vibe is playful, joyful, and very “undercover elf in NYC in December”.

A “Home Alone” inspired outfit feels youthful and cozy with a touch of old-timey charm. A chunky cream knit sweater paired with blue jeans creates an easy base, styled with sneakers for comfort. A festive holiday scarf pulls the look together, giving off the energy of running through a house at Christmas.

For “The Polar Express”, comfort is everything. Matching holiday pajamas are necessary (these ones from SKIMS are to die forrrr), and pink because we have to channel the main female character of course (and I just love pink), paired with slippers or fuzzy socks. Hair in a messy bun or braids keeps it relaxed and nostalgic.

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” is all about not taking your outfit too seriously. A loud, ugly Christmas sweater paired with casual cream pants sets the tone. Fun earrings and sneakers keep it playful and laid back. This look feels like showing up to a holiday party fully aware you did not dress appropriately, but still looking so cute.

Finally, “The Santa Clause” brings a fun but chill take on Christmas dressing. A red or forest green sweater paired with dark denim or comfy trousers creates an easy holiday look. White sneakers and simple gold jewelry keep it effortless. The vibe is subtle Christmas spirit without trying too hard.

So there you have it!!! Your outfit based on your favorite Christmas movies!! I hope you enjoyed, let me know what your favorite Christmas movie is in the comments!! As always, thank you for reading and see you tomorrow for day 5 of blogmas!!
Xoxo,
